First, there's a new study out saying that, yes, marijuana does help ease pain. It is also pretty good for "Lost" and listening to Tool but we don't think the study measured that. Actually, the study is a big deal because it was the first to be done using rigorous scientific methods. The study, conducted at SF General, took an unspecified amount of AIDS patients who had problems in some sort of nerve damaged way and studied the effects of smoking three joints a day. That's one joint more than the previously specified two joints a day. Says a spokesperson for the Marijuana Policy Project, "it's time to wake up and smell the data" and what a wonderful, fresh, green smell that is.

Another study came out and said, shockingly, that naps might just be good for the heart. No, really? The study says that people who nap about half an hour at least three times weekly have a 37% less chance of having a heart attack. The reason is that people who nap have less strain on the heart. So next time you're caught sleeping in a ball underneath your cubicle, you can tell your boss that you're only trying to get healthy.

And speaking of naps, SFist thinks it is about time we take ours.
