Who are these people? Posters on SFWall.net
Why are these people so dangerous? Because some of them might be moderate or even....Republican.
Luckily, thanks to H Brown, these people might actually get exposed to all. A couple of days ago H sent out an e-mail to people on his mailing list (but not us) threatening to "out" the posters on the site. Then Luke Thomas reported it and the Wall went into a tizzy. Subject threads were hid. Posts taken down. And, good heavens, what could possibly be so scary that they don't want people to see anything? The dirt on Gavin's love life? The ending to "Lost"?
H was supposed to reveal all on the Art Bruzzone show but it turned out to be nothing but a Capone Vault like tease. But yet, the threat still is out there and hangs like a Damocles sword over all the posters.
You know, we're of two minds on this. On the one hand, isn't the whole idea of anonymous bulletin boards to be anonymous so you can say what you want to say without getting in trouble for it? If H ever revealed the people posting on the "My Sweet 16" message boards we'd be toast (not that we've ever posted on those boards, of course). But on the other hand, freedom of speech and Josh Wolf and all that-- with great postings come great responsibility. We do love our sunshine laws here, too. It was only a matter of time before Kimo Crossman starting bugging them. But on the other hand, we're not sure what the Founding Fathers stood on anonymous postings to message boards. It's not exactly like "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" was written by PHenry76 although if it was, it probably would have read "Liberty PWNS Death".
We don't know. We just find this all highly amusing
