So for those of you not on your way elsewhere or already there (like us and for those of you wondering how we could post this while up in the Moutains somewhere, all we can say is time travel, baby), we here at SFist would like to give thanks to you, our loyal readers and to our commenters. Because without you, we'd be nothing. And yeah, you hear that all the time but that's the cool thing about blogs-- the community is just as important as the site. We've gotten photos from you, gossip from you, interesting comments from you, and all sorts of feedback.

For whatever reason, in the little over two years we've been here, this site has slowly become part of the fabric of the city and it's a little amazing and all sorts of cool and kind of scary. We're just bloggers, after all-- we just anonymously post from our little hovels and wonder if anybody cares. It turns out that people do.

And finally, we're going to drop the third person for a bit because I'd just like to thank all the contributors and back-end people who work for site and who really do make the site what it is. As I've quickly learned, being an editor mainly means sitting back and watching everyone do the thing they do. I mainly just forward e-mails.

Okay, back to the "we."
