Last night's "Battlestar Galactica" was....awesome. Just awesome.
-YMCA plan to cut down trees for their Camp Jones Gulch camp near La Honda not going down well with people who live near there.
-The shooting of an Afghan Ameircan mother of six in Fremont the other day might have been a hate crime.
-Castro residents establish neighborhood patrols in response to series of brutal attacks in the neighborhood.
-Oracle buys naming rights of the Oakland Coliseum making the new name of the arena "the Oracle." Just like the dude in the Matrix. This now makes it two companies of which a certain SFist contributor has worked at that owns the naming rights of a local stadium. They now wonder if this means that someday someday we'll see the Giants play at Gothamist Park.
-California outsources some of their prisoners to other states.
-Physicist at Cal dies when they fall from roof of building. Sort of ironic, don't you think? Okay, maybe not.
-In newspaper news, the San Jose Mercury is set to lay-off as many as 101 employees, thus making a once-good newspaper further not-so good and the Chron agrees to be held in contempt of court for not revealing their sources in the BALCO thing.
