This week's adoptable pet (he'll be featured on SFist all week long on the right side of the site, below the ads) comes to us from Grateful Dogs Rescue. Look at Pepper's spooky eyes!

Pepper is a four-year-old tricolor neutered male Australian Shepherd mix with big beautiful blue eyes and about 55 pounds. He is quite an affectionate boy and loves to be petted. He will come over to put his head in your lap. Pepper is good with other dogs and tolerates cats. He is housetrained, knows several commands and walks well on leash. He has a lot of energy and will need at least an hour of exercise a day. He loves chasing balls, so his new guardian(s) should enjoy playing fetch. Australian Shepherds get bored easily and require a lot of mental stimulation to keep their minds busy. Pepper does not like being handled by strangers and may snap. Experienced dog-owners only. NO CHILDREN, PLEASE.
