Did you know that the Rolex Big Boat Series is going on right now in our very own Bay? For 41 years, now, the St. Francis Yacht Club has been holding this regatta, but this is the first year Rolex has sponsored it, an apparent match made in rich person heaven.

Yesterday's races were tough to to choppy conditions and the fact that it's been cold as all hell (Weatherist Ted, why is that, anyways?), but that didn't stop St. Francis Yacht Club Commodore Doug Holm from announcing the fleets designated for each of the six "Perpetual Trophies." So you know, we have no idea what we just wrote, but we'd like to say for the record that we have no memory of any guy named "Doug" ever being in The Commodores.

There will be two more races run today and tomorrow, and one final long one is planned for Sunday. For updates on the race events you can go here, if you've suddenly decided to buy a Rolex you can't go here, and if you want to get our (personal) favorite boat-themed Police album you could do it here
