This week's adoptable pet (she'll be featured on SFist all week long on the right side of the site, below the ads) comes to us from Grateful Dogs Rescue (check out their fancy new site). Dusty definitely has some special needs, but is an adorable senior who has a lot of love to give.

Dusty is a 14 year old spayed female spaniel mix, a little bit underweight at 16 lbs. She's mostly black with a cute plume tail that she holds high on her walks, especially when there are lots of interesting doggie things to smell! This very sweet old lady, who is blind and hard of hearing, was dumped by her family at the shelter to be euthanized. We couldn't let that happen, so we rescued her in hopes of finding her a loving home where she can live out her life in comfort and warmth. Dusty's adopter must have some experience dealing with special needs dogs, and she must be in a home where she is able to learn her way around and be protected from hazards such as stairs.
