Wow, it wasn't even six months ago that the Chron exposed their ignorance about blogging, and they've already up and gotten themselves one!

We were a little pissed at first, what with the blatant bite on our (hardly unique in the blogosphere, we admit) style ("We" much?), but, hey, we're on their links list, which is more recognition that they usually give to us. We're a little sad they don't list us as one of their "inspirations", but judging by the content thus far, not all that sad.

We also see that they'll eventually enable comments, so we're really hoping some of our more persistent commenters ("Texas Hold 'Em", "Nude Rape Pics", and "Online Slots", we're looking at you) will welcome them to the blogosphere with the multitude of feedback they've graced us with. "Paris Naked", while we appreciate your loyalty, we won't be hurt if you send your attentions elsewhere.

And, all in all, we're happy to see some of our favorite Chron writers writing in a more conversational style -- and we're sure they all got big fat raises to take on this extra responsibility. Additionally, we applaud their brave blogging, in the face of their boss's dismissal of the medium. Good for them!

To maintain the balance of the universe, SFist will be laying off Rita and replacing her with a total f**king a**hole, giving Shane a company car, and generally sucking more than we already do.
