This week's adoptable pet (she'll be featured on SFist all week long on the right side of the site, below the ads) comes to us from Grateful Dogs Rescue. Look at this picture and tell us that you don't feel just a little prickle behind your eyes for this teeny tiny little girl!

Carly was abandoned by her owner and was brought to the shelter, dirty and flea-ridden. This shy little dog is a Chihuahua-mix, spayed female. She is 2 yrs old, and weighs less than 7 lbs. Her rear knees might require medical attention in the future (luxating patellas), but she otherwise seems healthy. Carly is initally wary of being picked-up, but once in a warm lap she relaxes and naps. She seems fine with other small dogs and will be a faithful loving companion once you earn her trust.
