This week's adoptable pet (she'll be featured on SFist all week long on the right side of the site, below the ads) comes to us from Grateful Dogs Rescue. She shares a name with our favorite interviewer, ever, and that face!

Emily is a 14 yr. old, spayed female cocker who was dumped by her owner. The shelter vet thinks that Emily still has some good years ahead of her, so we're looking for a sunny retirement home for this sweet girl.

(We'll editorialize that as the one-time owner of a senior dog, it is a serious comittment, but one that we've found to be balanced out by the rewards of the companionship of a mature pet.)
