Those of you looking to support a good cause while updating those Klimt The Kiss posters you bought in college that you've still got hanging in your apartment -- you're in luck! And no, we don't mean Tower Records is having a sale on Britney Spears posters -- Visual Aid is sponsoring the 11th annual Big Deal art sale this weekend.

Visual Aid is an organization devoted to supporting and encouraging the creativity of artists who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses, such as AIDS or cancer. The Big Deal art sale will feature 600 works donated by local artists, all to be sold for $110 each. Works include paintings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, and glass. There's also a silent auction and a raffle. It's $25 at the door, though artists, if you'd like to donate, you get in free.

Tickets go on sale at 3 p.m. this Saturday, at SOMArts Gallery (934 Brannan between 8th and 9th). Get your ticket early because the earlier you get the ticket, the earlier your priority to buy art. Doors open at 4, and the sale goes from 5-8.

Thanks to The Standing Room for the tip. Artwork above donated to Visual Aid by Anthony Russo.
