If you're not stationed in front of the tube or out on the town (without WiFi) might we suggest monitoring the election via the innerweb? There's all sorts of resources out there, whether your on the left, right or somewhere in the middle.

All the local counties will be posting live election results once the polls close at eight. San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and Marin counties all have website with results from their respective districts. Want to know how your favorite propositions are doing? Then up-to-date results and percentages of precincts tallied are just a click or two away.

For those of you watching the national election - both for President and to see how the House of Representatives and Senate will shape up in January - you have your choice of Democrat or Republican wonks and one snarky Wonkette (who's a dem, but is more than happy to make sophomoric jokes about nearly anyone). We here at SFist will be staying up late and giving our lap second degree burns to post the latest on interesting local races after the polls close. Happy tallying!
