The line starts at 6 a.m. today, but it's unclear whether you should have camped out last night or should expect to camp out tonight (bring a jacket and keep your vocal cords warm; it's extra foggy in the City today) -- and the rules state: "No tents. No coolers. FOLDING, PORTABLE chairs ONLY!!!" (Has there been a problem with people bringing in big rocking chairs or something?) Bring proof of age and a signed copy of the on-line release of liability, and if you're under 18, you gotta bring a parent (and the age limit goes up to 28 now).

SFist's favorite part of the Idol are the clips of the bad singers (did anyone else love the WB's fake Superstar USA as much as we did? From the ratings, apparently not) -- so all you other Bay Area William Hungs (and we know you're out there -- we hear you on the MUNI all the time) -- go out there and do us proud!
