As she awaits the near-inevitable denial of her appeal to the Ninth Circuit, after which she will get a new prison reporting date, Elizabeth Holmes is relaxing in San Diego, bonding with her newborn, and apparently trying to rehabilitate the public perception of herself.

With few options left but one last legal reprieve available, Elizabeth Holmes has avoided having to report to prison tomorrow, but she likely won't avoid it for long.

Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, the 57-year-old former COO of Theranos who was convicted last year — like his former business partner Elizabeth Holmes — of defrauding investors in their blood-testing startup, is set to enter prison today.

A federal judge on Monday, fairly predictably, rejected Elizabeth Holmes's semi-final bid to delay her check-in date for prison, but no doubt her high-priced lawyers have one more appeal in them.
