A 21-year-old man is dead after a bar fight became a homicide early Saturday in the Solano County city of Dixon.

The fight occurred around 2 am Saturday at Luke’s Lounge on North First Street in Dixon. According to a release from the Dixon Police Department, someone in the bar called 911 and police were called to the scene of a violent altercation inside the bar.

Police arrived "within minutes," the department says, and found 21-year-old Kane Nishimoto of Vacaville "suffering from critical injuries to his torso."

The other man involved in the fight, who police have identified as 44-year-old Brian Sweeney, apparently fled the scene.

Nishimoto was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Sweeney remains at large and his whereabouts are not known. He is wanted as a person of interest in the case.
