- Four juvenile suspects were taken into SFPD custody Tuesday morning in connection with multiple reports of strong-arm cellphone thefts. The quartet is suspected of thefts in and around the Tenderloin. [CBS SF]

- The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors just voted to spent $2.1 million to purchase two multi-unit properties for use in housing some of the homeless currently camped along the Joe Rodota Trail. Speakers at the meeting opposed the purchase saying many of the campers come from outside the county, and are drug abusers. [CBS SF]

- Shots were reportedly fired in the Bayview this afternoon near Palou Avenue and Jennings Street during a chase involving two vehicles. [Examiner]
- A Delta Airlines jet bound for Asia had to turn around after leaving LAX today and it dumped jet fuel over Los Angeles County in order to make an emergency landing, injuring dozens of people, including school children. [New York Times]
