A shooting Friday morning caused a snarl in commuter traffic on the Bay Bridge, particularly for those trying to get to the East Bay.
The shooting occurred at 6;45 a.m. between two vehicles in the eastbound lanes near the toll plaza on the Oakland side of the bridge. An off-duty CHP officer in the westbound lanes of the bridge approach said he witnessed a suspect shooting out of the window of an SUV at another vehicle, as KPIX reports.

All eastbound lanes were subsequently shut down for an investigation, and a search began for the suspect vehicle. No injuries were reported, though the victim's vehicle was damaged. As ABC 7 reports, the shooter got away.
One eastbound lane of the bridge reopened at 7:45 a.m., and all lanes reopened as of 8:20 a.m.
