Yet another wildfire has broken out Thursday morning, this one on the Marin County coast just south of Stinson Beach.
The Marin County Sheriff's Office reported that the newly named Muir Fire had burned a total of approximately 35 acres, 15 acres on the west side of Highway 1 and 20 acres on the east side. The fire is burning near Slide Ranch, and the Sheriff's Office said ten engines were en route to the area around 11:30 a.m. Video also showed fire retardant being dropped on the area by plane. No evacuations have yet been ordered. Update: The fire has grown to 50 acres as of 1 p.m.

As KPIX reports, onshore winds are pushing the fire toward the ocean, and smoke can be seen from up and down the coast.
No structures have been burned or threatened.
Meanwhile, another brush fire began around 10 a.m. in Santa Rosa's Annadel State Park, as KRON 4 reports. That fire was being held at three acres and no evacuations were ordered.
