A van on fire in the far lefthand, eastbound lane of the Bay Bridge Friday night led to four out of five lanes being closed as emergency crews responded.
The vehicle was ultimately engulfed in flames, as multiple videos on Twitter show. Per Bay City News, the fire was first reported at 10:30 p.m. The videos also show a man who possibly was the van's owner leaning on the side of the bridge about 10 yards away, waiting for firefighters.
The car fire was quickly and widely documented on Twitter, and the Bay Bridge was trending on Twitter before emergency crews had even arrived.

Good thing it didn't melt any of the bridge! That blaze looked hot!
The incident led to heavy traffic around downtown San Francisco and elsewhere near freeway on-ramps. The lanes of the bridge were ultimately reopened after an hour, around 11:30 p.m., as NBC Bay Area reports.
No injuries were reported.
Here's one more driveby.
