• Both an SFDP officer and a suspect were struck by an unmarked police car at Geary Boulevard and Webster Street Saturday afternoon. San Francisco police say the officer was trying to take an auto-burglary suspect into custody when, suddenly, both were hit by an undercover vehicle, leaving the suspect with life-threatening injuries and the officer hurt as well, but in stable condition.   • Solo-endurance athlete Antonio De La Rosa became the first person to ever cross the Pacific waters... via a stand-up paddle board. The 42-year-old ultra endurance athlete, who hails from Spain, made it to the Waikiki Yacht Club early Saturday morning, becoming the first person to traverse that stretch of water by paddle board.
