Muni is half back up and running for the evening rush hour following this morning's meltdown, running outbound trains only through downtown, on the inbound track. This means that anyone trying to get to the Giants game from the city's outer neighborhoods should seek transportation elsewhere.
Inbound Muni trains are stopping at Church because there apparently remains a power outage between Powell and Civic Center stations on the outbound tracks.
BART is honoring all Muni fares this evening until 6 p.m. between Balboa Park and Embarcadero Stations. If you're near a BART station and trying to get downtown, Muni recommends using BART.
There are also still Market Street shuttle buses running between the Castro/Church vicinity and downtown, but you know how those are — and they will be packed.
UPDATE: #subwaysvc continues with: -T trains will travel to & from Embarcadero/Sunnydale
