A new game in development from the creators of popular card game Exploding Kittens involves cards and trying to accrue like cards, and then also throwing plushy burritos at other players.
The game, Throw Throw Burrito, which is currently over-funded to the tune of $1.5 million on Kickstarter (it appears to have had a modest $10,000 goal to bring the game to market), looks like it'd be best to play in a group of at least four people. You draw cards, as in Exploding Kittens, trying to put together sets of three like cards. There are also Burrito Cards, which cause various types of battles to ensue involving the plushy toy burritos.
Also, you win points by making sets of cards, and you lose points when you're hit with a burrito — so some dodgeball skill is desired.
Below is the explanatory video. If you want to give these guys (Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal and game designer Elan Lee) more money, you can throw-throw them $20 and you'll be sent a copy of the game in September. For $35 or more, you'll get a special "Kickstarter edition" of the game.
