SF Giants President and CEO Larry Baer got in an altercation with his wife Pam in San Francisco today, and cellphone video from a bystander has already made national headlines.
The video was quickly grabbed by TMZSports, and has made it to the Examiner and the SF Business Times in the last hour.
The video shows Baer apparently trying to yank a cellphone out of his wife's hands. She screams "Oh my god, no!" and falls out of a chair onto the ground. There's also a second clip in which bystanders are yelling "get the f**k away from him" to Mrs. Baer.
This all happened in the Proxy plaza near Biergarten, off Octavia Street and Hayes.
The SFPD tells the Ex that they are "aware of the incident" and they are "investigating."
Pam Baer has since spoken to TMZ and said, "We were having a family fight about someone in my family and that's it." The MLB also issued a statement saying, "Major League Baseball is aware of the incident and, just like any other situation like this, will immediately begin to gather the facts."
Larry Baer gave a statement to the Chronicle saying, "My wife and I had an unfortunate public argument related to a family member and she had an injured foot and she fell off her chair in the course of the argument. The matter is resolved. It was a squabble over a cell phone. Obviously, it’s embarrassing."

The SFPD was interviewing witnesses at the scene around 1 p.m. Friday.
