A woman walking near Fisherman's Wharf was robbed Thursday night, by a trio of female thieves who pepper sprayed her then fled.
Police say that the crime went down at 7:45 Thursday night, at the intersection of Stockton and Bay Streets.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, a 40-year-old woman walking down the street was being trailed by the driver of a vehicle. Eventually, the car pulled up next to the pedestrian and two women who looked to be in their 20s got out, with a third woman remaining in the driver's seat.
The pair pepper sprayed the pedestrian, police say, then "forcefully took her purse."
The thieves hopped back in the car, police say, and sped off in an unknown direction.
Police say that the victim was left with non-life-threatening injuries in the attack, and that she's expected to recover. The suspects remain at large, police say, and as of Friday morning no arrests had been made in the case.
