A mail carrier was robbed Wednesday, as he sorted packages near McLaren Park.
Police say the crime went down at 12 noon Wednesday, on the 600 block of Campbell Avenue in Visitacion Valley.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the 43-year-old postal driver "was behind his postal vehicle sorting packages" when two men in their 20s drove up.
One of the men approached the victim and shoved him away from the mail truck. The thief then took "packages from the postal vehicle," police say, hopped back into the car, and fled the scene. Both remain at large as of Thursday morning.
The mail carrier wasn't injured in the robbery, police say. According to the SFPD, only packages were stolen in the shakedown, with contents that will apparently remain unknown.
