A man who was engaged in an argument with a driver was rushed to the hospital Monday, after the driver ended the argument by striking his or her opponent.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the hit-and-run occurred at 6:53 a.m. Monday, near the intersection of Selby and Galvez Streets.

Police say that the victim, a 44-year-old man, was arguing with the driver of a van, details of whom police say are "unknown."

Over the course of the disagreement, the victim stepped in front of the van. This is apparently what the driver was waiting for, as he or she then "ran him over," police say.

The driver then fled the scene.

Police say that the victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect remains at large, police say, and no arrests have been made in the case.
