A teen stopped at an SF traffic light was shot Sunday evening, sending him into two separate collisions and leaving him fighting for his life.
Police say that the shooting occurred at 10 p.m. Sunday, near the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and Marin Street.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the 17-year-old male victim was "in a vehicle at a stoplight" when a second vehicle approached.
An unknown male inside that second car "began shooting," police say, striking the victim.
In the chaos, the teen's car kept moving, colliding with another vehicle and slamming into a nearby pole.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, with injuries police say are life-threatening. The suspect remains at large, police say, and no arrests have been made in the case as of Tuesday morning.
