An early-morning blaze displaced four Monday, after a fire broke out in the room of their Mission District hotel.
According to a Facebook post from the San Francisco Fire Department, firefighters were called to 2084 Mission Street at 5:22 a.m. Monday on reports of a fire.
2084 Mission, which is between 16th and 17th Street, is the site of the Frances Hotel, an apparent single room occupancy hotel that's garnered numerous negative reviews citing filth and neglect on both Yelp and Google.
The fire broke out in room 304 of the hotel, the SFFD says, which is on the top floor of the building. Sprinklers in the area deployed, they say, and by 5:31 the fire was under control.
Four were displaced by the incident, the SFFD says, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the SFFD, and the displaced residents are under the care of the Red Cross. In addition, the SFFD writes, "City Services have been advised and are prepared to assist in the recovery efforts for this incident if applicable."
