A quick update on the much anticipated, fast-casual spinoff of Rich Table, RT Rotisserie: The team is readying for some preview events in anticipation of an official public opening around Memorial Day, with an exact date TBA. The Hayes Valley spot, which is just about complete in the former Mandarin Villa space at 101 Oak Street (at Franklin), is just a block away from Rich Table, and owners Evan and Sarah Rich explained a few weeks back that it will feature "the kind of food we crave the most, with the highest quality ingredients and in a space that's approachable."

On the menu will be rotisserie chicken and porchetta, as well as roasted cauliflower as a vegetarian main, all prepared with the same herbed and spiced house brine, as well as sides and a choice of out-of-the-ordinary sauces including dried chipotle sauce, cilantro chimichurri, avocado ranch, Douglas fir sour cream, and โ€œNannyโ€™s BBQโ€ sauce, inspired by Evanโ€™s grandmother.

Also, playing off Rich Table's popular porcini doughnuts ย— which will once again be returning to Outside Lands this year ย— RT Rotisserie will serve "umami fries," which are sweet potato fries dusted with that same dried porcini powder and an herb mix.

The place is sure to be a reliable new to-go option for the Hayes Valley vicinity, with complete meals available for $21 per person with two sides included. Both the meats and the cauliflower will also be available as sandwiches, on Dutch crunch rolls.

Stay tuned for more menu details and photos.
