The victim of a Tenderloin mugger refused to take the crime lying down Monday, following her fleeing robber until police arrived.
The 20-year-old female victim was walking near the intersection of Ellis and Polk Streets at 9:15 Monday night, according to the San Francisco Police Department, when the mugging occurred.
Police say that the suspect, a 56-year-old man, "approached her from behind on a bicycle."
The bike-riding baddie struck the victim with his fist, police say, then "went through [her] pockets stealing her money," according to the SFPD.
He then took off on his bike — but he didn't get far. Police say that as he fled, the victim called police and chased the suspect until police arrived and arrested him. According to the SFPD, the mugger was booked into San Francisco County Jail Monday night for the mugging and attack.
