Police are seeking a couple driving a gray truck who shot and robbed a man, leaving him fighting for his life in the Mission District.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of 25rd and Hampshire Streets, about a block from San Francisco General Hospital.
When they arrived, police discovered a 45-year-old man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds, SFPD spokesperson Officer Robert Rueca says. Police say that they believe that the shooting actually occurred at 23rd and Mission Streets, but did not provide details on how the man went from one location to the next.
The victim, who police say was robbed of his cash and cellphone, was transported to SF General for treatment. An update on his condition was not available at publication time.
The SFPD says that they are seeking two suspects in the case: A man and a woman of unknown ages, in a "charcoal gray" truck, toting a black "semi-auto handgun." As of Tuesday afternoon, the duo remains at large.
