A girl and three boys were injured, the girl critically, by gunfire this afternoon in the parking lot of June Jordan School for Equity, a small high school of just 250 students in the Excelsior.
At a news conference, Officer Carlos Manfredi told KTVU and others that the shooting appears to have been "a targeted incident," which SFPD reiterated on Twitter. Police suspect that one of the students who was shot was the intended target.
The Chronicle reports that four male suspects were seen running down Brazil Avenue away from the school after the crime. KTVU adds they were wearing dark hoodies and jeans.
SFPD received a 3:20 p.m. call from the school for an ambulance. Initially, they were led to suspect an active shooter, and @SFPD tweeted that a suspect was being sought. A lock down and shelter in place were ordered, and soon it was clear there were more victims.

But what seemed to be just three injured students was actually four. According to @SFPD. Hours after the shooting, another student walked into SF General with non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
June Jordan will resume tomorrow with counselors on hand.
