Zelda Williams, who's now 27, appeared on Chelsea Handler's new Netflix talk show last night to talk about life in the aftermath of her father's 2014 suicide, and she talked about how she never grew up in any sort of celebrity spotlight because, "We lived in San Francisco."
She also talks about how she became incredibly productive, as a screenwriter, during her period of mourning, producing 12 scripts. Famously, Zelda was driven off Twitter by trolls shortly after her father's death, a case which has been discussed recently as arguments about why Twitter should take some responsibility to curtail cyberbullying, free speech be damned.
But as Handler puts it, "Sometimes you get to a really beautiful place because of something tragic that happens."
