A cyclist was rushed to an area hospital Thursday afternoon, following a collision with a minivan in Golden Gate Park.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the collision occurred at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, when a 35-year-old male cyclist was pedaling along the 1200 block of John F Kennedy Drive in Golden Gate Park, which is near Spreckels Lake and perpendicular to 35th Avenue (or so) in the Outer Richmond.
Police say that the cyclist apparently lost control of his bike and "crashed head first through the back window of a parked minivan." A call for further details on the circumstances of the collision was not returned at publication time.
The cyclist was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Though an update on his condition was not immediately available, he was reportedly in stable condition as of Thursday night.
