A big get-out-the-vote event is happening in San Francisco Monday, June 6, hosted by the Bernie Sanders campaign, which is going to feature a bevy of musicians, bands, celebrity speakers, and more. This is all going down starting at 3:30 p.m. at Crissy Field, and as the campaign tells us, guests include Dave Matthews, Fishbone, Fantastic Negrito, John Dexter Stewart, Dr. Cornel West, Shailene Woodley, and Danny Glover.
The event is free and open to the public but as with a lot of these campaign events it requires an RSVP, which you can do here.
This follows on two steady weeks of Sanders and Clinton stumping around California ahead of Tuesday's primary, which Clinton is strongly expected to win, but which will nonetheless garner more delegates for Sanders. Sanders is expected to continue rabble-rousing into the Democratic Convention, which happens the weekend of July 25 in Philadelphia.
And this week Sanders supporters were shut down in federal court in San Francisco after attempting to file an injunction against election officials regarding the messaging and poll worker training pertaining to no-party-preference voters, who this year are allowed to vote on a Democratic ballot if they choose. A judge declared their effort a lot of "hot air."
