Monday brought with it two apparent homicides, beginning with a shooting death at the corner of 6th Street and Minna, outside the Foodie Deli Café Juice Bar according to KRON 4.
Per the Chronicle, the report of shots fired came at 11:33 p.m. Monday, and the victim was a man in his 30's who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at SF General just after midnight.
The SFPD spent Tuesday morning canvassing the area but so far have no suspects. The continue to seek witnesses and surveillance camera footage from the high-traffic area.
A second possible homicide which has so far been ruled a suspicious death occurred in Golden Gate Park either late Monday or early Tuesday, and the Chronicle reports that the body of a man was found floating facedown in Alvord Lake around 7 a.m. this morning.
Police had reportedly found no witnesses as of that report, but KTVU's Tamara Moriarty reports that there's evidence that the victim was involved in a brawl on Monday and was "assaulted" by three men.
The victim has not been identified, but Moriarty refers to him as a "transient."
KRON 4 says the lake is being drained in order to possibly find more evidence.
