As quickly as Apple announced the release of a new, cheaper and smaller model of the iPhone that is basically the same as the iPhone 5S with a bit more speed, dubbed the iPhone SE, professional YouTube parodist Jack Douglass released his own parody ad. And ribbing on the various Apple-nerd speculation about the "SE" distinction, Jack just goes with "iPhone say" and goes on to call it, "a phone from three years ago, starting at $400."
The new four-inch iPhone is pretty much Apple's answer to those who want the bangs and whistles of an iPhone 6, like 4K video and, uh, "live photos," but in the more compact package of iPhones of yore.
And yes, in that way, it is deeply unexciting.
