If you've been watching late-night TV this week, you might have caught that the Violent Femmes are back together and touring to promote their first album of new music in 15 years, titled We Can Do Anything, which comes out March 6. Below, you can see a web exclusive clip of the Femmes doing "Blister in the Sun" with a little help from Stephen Colbert, during the taping of last night's show.

As Rolling Stones notes, the band was on hiatus for a number of years before reuniting for Coachella 2013, and though the trio has lost original drummer Victor DeLorenzo, they're now working with Brian Viglione (Nine Inch Nails, Dresden Dolls), who you can see in the video below, using a Weber Grill for some acoustic percussion.

Now as Live 105 reports, we'll be seeing the Violent Femmes here in San Francisco for two nights at the Fillmore on May 10 and 11. The North American leg of the tour kicks off just eight days earlier, on May 2 in Salt Lake City. See the full schedule here.

Tickets for the SF shows go on sale Friday, February 26, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
