Police are searching for John Beck, a 73-year-old man who was last seen near 12 Street/City Center in Oakland, perhaps getting on BART, at around 9 a.m. yesterday morning.

Beck is 5'11 and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing navy blue pants and a long sleeved green/blue plaid shirt. His family has been unable to reach him, his cell phone has been turned off, and his credit cards have not been used. Beck also happens to be the father of a former contributor to SFist, Laura Beck.
