Rain continues to fall this morning after the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for San Francisco and much of the Bay Area. The heavy morning downpour is making roads treacherous, and the advisory warns drivers to be extra cautious.
Noting that the "urban and small stream flooding advisory remains in effect until 9:45 a.m.," we are helpfully told that "most flood deaths occur in automobiles" and that "flood waters are usually deeper than they appear." So, you know, be safe everyone driving out there.

The National Weather Service is predicting that the rain will last throughout the day and end sometime this evening — maybe or maybe not in time to make your commute home a little less miserable.
As ABC 7 explains, this is just a category 2 or "moderate" storm, on their storm scale, but it still means ponding of water and possible hydroplaning on roadways.
And because what would a Bay Area storm be without a little surge pricing, it appears the fine folks over at Uber were happy enough to oblige with early morning fares 520 percent the standard rate.

As for the rest of the week: Tomorrow should bring some much appreciated sunshine, but don't start thinking about hitting the park yet as rain is forecast Thursday through Saturday.
Stay dry, everyone!
