Fans of popular Hayes Valley Greek-inspired wrap spot Souvla should be glad to know that it's getting a second location, this time on Divisadero, in just the latest of a string of new restaurant announcements on the corridor.
As Eater reports, Souvla owner Charles Bililies is taking over the recently vacated Herbivore space (531 Divisadero), which is even more welcome news to all eaters in the 'hood because of how badly Herbivore sucked!
Quipping, Greek-style, to Eater, Bililies says he's "happy to be able to bring the 'opa' to NoPa." He's aiming for a mid-2016 opening.
This follows on recent news of the Namu Gaji spinoff Namu Claypot coming to the Jay's Cheesesteak space, and a huge new Italian spot called Che Fico coming down the street from a pair of New York and Chicago restaurateurs.
