Have we got a Feel Good Friday story for you! Ginger the cat was brought in as a stray by a good samaritan. Luckily, she was microchipped and was quickly reunited with her family. After being gone EIGHT years! That's a record for us here at MHS!

Ok, here's some heartwarming mews after a godawful week: A cat was reunited with her owners after having been missing for eight years. And look, it's an orange one! Her name is Ginger, obviously.
Rick Benson told ABC7 that the cat had been frequently hanging around his work, so he brought it into the Marin Humane Society. There they discovered that the kitty was microchipped and promptly called the owners.
Nancy and Stephen Payne, were naturally, ecstatic to have Ginger back in their arms. According to the Humane Society's Facebook page, an eight year reunion is the record for their organization.
This sure looks like a cute, happy cat.
And here are some lovely photos from our record-breaking reunion.
