A malfunctioning Muni bus snarled commute traffic on southbound 101 in San Francisco this morning, after the vehicle burst into flames.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bus burn was reported just after 7:15 this morning near the Cesar Chavez Street off-ramp.
The furthest right lane on southbound 101 was closed as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The Chron reports that the bus was empty except for the driver, who escaped without injury.
