A SoMa pedestrian is fighting for his life this morning, after he was struck by the driver of a Porsche.
According to San Francisco Police Department spokesperson Officer Albie Esparza, the driver struck the pedestrian this morning at Sixth and Stevenson Streets, which is between Market and Mission Streets.
The Chron reports that the vehicle in the collision was a blue 2008 Porsche Boxter, and says a witness saw the pedestrian land "on the windshield of the Porsche after being hit. He then fell and got pinned under the car."
“Everybody was yelling, ‘Get off the gas pedal,” at the driver, the witness told the Chron.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash, Esparza says.
As of 9:50 a.m., Esparza did not know the specific time of the collision, nor did he have any additional details on the circumstances of the crash, saying only that the incident remains under investigation.
