A fire that broke out on Taraval between 46th and 47th Avenues this morning at 10:15 a.m. has grown to two alarms, and firefighters are still working to get it under control, according to Bay City News.
The fire is at Great Highway Market (3633 Taraval), a convenience store on the block, and it's filled Taraval Street with smoke and disrupted L-train service, forcing trains to switch back inbound at Sunset Boulevard.
So far no injuries have been reported.
Update: The Chronicle has it that the fire actually broke out next door to the market at the well loved Riptide dive bar and music venue. The photo from NBC's Mark Matthews below confirms that.
