The Rocky Fire, a massive wildfire about a hundred miles north of the Bay Area, nearly doubled in size overnight and firefighters are barely closer to containing it.
Just twelve hours after saying the fire was at 20,000 acres, Cal Fire tweeted Sunday morning that the fire had grown to 47,000 acres and is only 5% contained:

According to NBC Bay Area, the Rocky Fire has destroyed 24 homes and forced the evacuations of hundreds in the area immediately southeast of Clear Lake.
Thanks, drought!
