Earlier we mentioned that former Bourbon & Branch guys Justin Lew and Ian Scalzo were going to be doing something they've done in the past take over a bar, and while taking some time to remodel it and turn it into something permanent, open it first as something fun and temporary. Before opening the more high-end and polished cocktail emporium called Horsefeather, sometime this fall, in the former Ziryab space at 528 Divisadero (near Fell), they're opening it as Tsk/Tsk, having thrown some fresh paint on the place and come up with a fun menu of adult slushies and highballs.
They did this a couple years back while on staff with Future Bars, and before the opening of Tradition, using the space at 441 Jones where they had already taken over the lease to open Mr. Lew's Win Win Bar and Grand Sazerac Emporium.
At Tsk/Tsk, which will open its doors on Friday and be open nightly from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. at least until the fall, there will also be food offerings from the folks at Bacon Bacon (see full menu below), so that's exciting. The foodstuffs are even enough that you won't have to go to Little Chihuahua or 4505 afterwards, you can just stay right there and keep drinking.
They may open earlier for happy hours at the end of the week, but for now the plan is simple, with a menu of boilermakers, highballs, and rotating boozy slushies.
