The Warriors' victory parade is upon us starting at 10 a.m., and super fans (or those who care more about catching a glimpse of Steph Curry than sleep) were out staking out their sidewalk space well before 5 a.m. this morning, as KRON 4 shows us in the video below. And you can see live helicopter shots of the already thick crowds in CBS 5's live stream above. Luckily, the weather is lovely.
As the Chronicle reports, "By 6 a.m., the crowd was packed from 12th Street to the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center, where the rally will be held to celebrate the Warriors’ first championship since 1975."
KRON 4, as you can see, also caught up with a die-hard fan who is also an Asian Elvis impersonator, and was entertaining the waiting crowd at 5 a.m. with a rendition of "Only Fools Rush In."
Transit in and out of downtown Oakland and the Lake Merritt area is expected to be clogged and/or non-functioning into the afternoon today.
We'll update you as hear more. But for now, here's a shot of the MVP bus Steph Curry will be riding in.
