Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference descends on SF this week, just two weeks after Google's developer conference, and ticket-holders still line up overnight for these things even when there isn't a big product announcement expected. As Fortune was liveblogging, "The line in front of the 4th St. Starbucks was 40 nerds long" as of 4:50 this morning, and a few people were camped at the Moscone Center doors as of last night.
The conference goes on for the next five days, through June 12. And there are special jackets.
The keynote just got underway, and you can see it liveblogged here at TechCrunch (watch the livestream at Apple.com via Safari). Basically, Apple is expected to unveil some details about iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 which are going to start to look more similar (per Apple Insider); there will be some updates about Apple’s HomeKit smart home platform; there might be something about the CarPlay smart car platform; and following Apple's acquisition of Beats Music, they're expected to announce something about its integration with iTunes, and perhaps a $9.99/month subscription service to compete with Spotify.
And they've just announced that the new OS X will be called El Capitan.
What not to expect: Anything much about Apple TV, which is still set for a big overhaul, perhaps, eventually, with a long-anticipated set-top box. But that doesn't sound like it will be part of today's announcements.
Another very important dispatch from Moscone Center: There is an actual, bonafide line at the women's restroom.
Update: There is now a line for the Women's room at #WWDC15. Progress! pic.twitter.com/e6ybWi8VKW

We'll update you if anything earth-shattering sneaks into the mix. Otherwise, we're leaving this one to the nerds.
Update: Just to prove how little there is to update you on, I leave you with this.
