SF-born comedian Margaret Cho, whom we've been seeing a whole lot more of since her recent divorce, will be back in town hosting a pre-Pride affair on Thursday, June 25, at Dirty Habit (at the Palomar Hotel, a.k.a. the former Fifth Floor). Tickets just went on sale, with an early bird price of $50, and proceeds go to benefit The Trevor Project, a 24-hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline for queer and questioning youth.
The party is circus-themed, and called "CIRQUE: A Celebration Of Pride." There will be circus performers, and circus-themed food and drink (boozy slushees!), and it looks like this event also serves as a preview of a new carnival-themed menu from Dirty Habit chef David Bazirgan, which includes boudin blanc corn dogs, foie gras cotton candy, and whiskey caramel corn.
Also, there'll be music by DJ DAMnation and Go BANG!, and a photobooth by SnapFiesta.
